A former lawmaker and presidential aspirant, Adamu Garba has revealed how being rusticated from the university became the best thing to ever happen to him.
The chieftain of the All Progressives Congress said no school would have made him the millionaire he is today.
Garba made the disclosure in a post via his verified Twitter handle on Thursday.
He had earlier revealed he was expelled from Kano State University of Technology, Wudil, in his 300 level.
It is alleged he was found guilty of leading a violent protest on campus.
However, Garba said he never regretted being expelled from the university, claiming he turned a multimillionaire at 26.
He wrote, “You guys don’t get it. The greatest thing that ever happened to me in life is getting rusticated from the university at the age of 23. By 24, I started work as a tech guy, at 26, I’m already a multimillionaire till this day. No school would ever have thought (sic) me what I become (sic).
“I was involved in students politics, aspiring for SUG President. Was pushing for the right things to be done. Even though I wasn’t involved in the protest, but I refused to betray or give up my friends. I was asked to go. I took it in good fate. Here I am now. Alhamdulillah!
He noted that just like him, the current President of Ukraine was rusticated and went into politics. However, while Zelensky won and became his country’s president, he lost.
Adamu Garba added that he also studied some top American universities. According to him, “Not just Harvard University, i also have certificates from Boston University, MIT, and the University of Pennsylvania: You can also go and verify.“
