Veteran Yoruba Nollywood actress, Dupe Jayesimi, has recounted the struggle of childless and failed marriage.
Speaking during an interview with her colleague, Abiola Adebayo, on her YouTube podcast, ‘Talk-to-B’, Jaiyesimi blamed her mother for her childlessness.
Ibadan-born thespian said her mother and family refused her plans to adopt a child when her desperation heightened, stressing, “If you adopt any kid, I will feed them to death. It was then I knew that I was in for a long ride.”
Jayesimi said she was unfortunate to be in the situation despite several attempts to conceive.
She further stated that her marriage crashed over the issue of childlessness after her ex-husband brought a pregnant woman to their house.
The actress maintained that she had stopped overthinking the issue, believing that God would make her bear a child someday, especially because of her experience with men who would lie to sleep with her.
