P-Square’s former manager, Bayo Odusami also known as Howie-T is dead.
The DJ cum entertainer died yesterday, 8th of August after a protracted battle with stroke for a number of years.
He was renowned for effectively managing Peter and Paul Okoye in their hay days together. In addition to his job with P-Square, Howie-T was a full time DJ at Enter the Dragon (Western House), Lagos, Sunrise Night Club, Victoria Island, Club Towers also in Victoria Island among other night clubs before he died.
The renowned DJ was also a General Manager at the Pyramid Night Club owned Ibinabo Feberesima’s
Howie-T nurtured and mentored P-Square to fame. Reports also say he single-handedly funded the twin’s maiden album.
Peter of P-Square recalls spending quality time with him not long before died. He regretted that Howie-T could not defeat the illness but added that they (Peter and Paul of P-Square fame) would have been nothing without him.
In an emotion-laden post on his social media handles, Peter said:
“There are certain people in life that your story or journey is incomplete without, Howie T is one of such people.
“I honestly believed you’d pull through this time and I’m thankful I got to spend some time with you recently, reliving some of the early days and talking about what the future holds.
“Thank you Howie for believing and being there for us. Thank you for your tremendous contribution to my career and the Nigerian entertainment industry. My family and I, our thoughts and prayers are with Tunrayo and the girls at this very difficult time.
