Renowned Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has revealed the 3 key questions he asked the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
Obi stopped by at the residence of Gumi on a courtesy visit just before proceeding to the venue of the event organized for the 2023 presidential candidates by the Arewa Consultative Forum, Northern Elders Forum and other northern groups
The Kaduna-based Islamic scholar, who was meeting Peter Obi in person for the first time, appreciated him for coming.
Speaking about the discussions they had during the meeting, Sheikh Gumi stated that he asked Peter Obi 3 essential question.
The cleric said he asked Obi what his position was on restructuring. He also sought to know how he would manage and pacify agitations from South East, North Central, South West, and North East. Lastly, he asked the Labour Party presidential candidate, to explain how he was going to tackle the issue of foreign interest in the country.
In his words, he said: “I asked him about his stand on restructuring because Nigeria has been going through a restructuring from 1960 to date and how he could empower an unskilled nation.”
Peter Obi visited Gumi in the company of his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed and a number of other Labour Party chieftains.
The Islamic scholar wished the politician well and advised him to keep the Obidient Movement alive even after the elections.
An Obidient, CHIBUIKEM™ noted that Sheikh Ahmad Gumi told @PeterObi: “Beyond the 2023 elections, don’t let the Movement you have started to end.”
