Nigerian cook-a-thon champion and celebrity chef has revealed that she auditioned for the Big Brother Naija reality TV show five times but failed.
The Guinness world record holder for the longest cooking by one individual disclosed this during a recent interview on the Nigerian radio program Cool FM show, “The Big Friday Show.”
Surprised that Tacha, the show host dug up the information before the radio interview, Baci disclosed that she planned on gaining entrance to the BBNaija show and thereafter proceed with her cook-a-thon.
However, she failed to secure a spot on the show.
She said, “I actually tried to get on Big Brother [Naija] for a while. I think I auditioned about four or five times.
‘The plan for the cook-a-thon was still in the pipeline, so my goal was to go to Big Brother and then come out and do the cook-a-thon.”
Baci was recently certified by Guinness World Record (GWR) as the record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.
She achieved the feat after cooking for 93 hours and 11 minutes.
The previous record holder, Lata Tondon cooked for 87 hours and 45 minutes in the Indian city of Rewa.
Soon after Hilda was certified, countless Nigerians attempted the feat but failed.
