The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Rabiu Kwankwaso has subtly mocked his political rivals in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu and the PeoplesDemocratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
While describing himself as the most qualified to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari, Kwankwaso also highlighted the credentials that distinguish him from other contestants.
The former Kano State Governor in a video trending on Twitter was captured saying during a radio interview programme that he is not a secondary school certificate holder or a diploma certificate holder.
Not done, he went further to say he does not bed wet neither is he a spare tyre.
The bed wet comment is believed to be targeted at the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Tinubu whose video of a soaked cloth emerged back in February during a public outing at the palace of the Awujale of Ijebuland.
The video raised concerns about the health condition of the former Lagos State Governor.
His other comment about not being a spare tyre is also believed to be a mockery of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Atiku Abubakar who is a former Vice President – a position understood to be subject to delegated authority from the President.
“I am a Doctor of Philosophy holder, unlike a secondary school certificate holder or diploma certificate holder. I do not ‘bedwet’, nor am I a spare tyre,” he stated.
While praising himself as the kind of leader Nigeria needs in 2023, Kwankwaso boasted that he has served as a Governor, Minister and federal lawmaker.
He said: “Nigerians should vote wisely this time around, as the country needs someone who can save it.
“I’ve worked with the Ministry of Defence, served as the Kano State Governor and represented Kano Central senatorial district for several years with enough knowledge to know what is needed.”
