‘I Feel So Lonely, I Miss My Life and Family’ – Nigerian Student in Canada Cries Out (video)

Stories from the heart

A Nigerian student, identified as Sylvia Obianuju Chikwendu, has cried out on social media over the loneliness she feels since relocating to Canada.

Chikwendu, in a post shared on her TikTok handle, expressed how much she missed her family and life.

According to Vanguard, Chikwendu, in the video accompanying the social media post, was captured weeping profusely while expressing her loneliness.

The young lady noted that immigrants are not told about the loneliness they would experience after relocating, and she feels sad about her current situation.

She said, “I feel so lonely, I felt like I would never have someone to have this conversation with…

I’m so sad, I miss my life and my family. I feel invincible, I’m hurting all the time, I feel like I’m just existing. I need help.

People don’t tell you about moving to Canada. I feel so lonely. I feel like I live with someone I can’t have a conversation with. I’m trying to cry, and I have to be silent about it.

“You just lose out on so many things. Your life, you just leave it behind. You have to work all the time, and you have school. I’m so sad.”
