President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has announced that he has 100% confidence in the integrity of his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Tinubu made the declaration on Monday while presiding over the fourth Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting of his administration at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The President admitted that his administration will make mistakes, noting that he is ready to take responsibility for the mistakes made.
President Tinubu, therefore, stated that all campaigns of calumny against the former Speaker of the House of Representatives must stop immediately.
He wrote: “First of all, let me reiterate to all of you that I’ve heard the stories flying around. Mistakes will be made, and perfection is only for God Almighty. I have 100% confidence in the integrity of my chief of staff, RT hon@femigbaja. All campaigns of calumny against him must stop forthwith! If I make mistakes, I’m ready to own up to it.”
President’s loyalists are pushing for the sack of Gbajabiamila over the alleged sale of appointments.
The report claimed that since Tinubu assumed office, most names approved by the President for appointments were allegedly replaced by the Chief of Staff.
One such case was the replacement of the name of Ekiti Resident Electoral Commission (REC) with the name of a former commissioner under the former Governor of Ekiti State, Kayode Fayemi.
