‘I Never Hit My Wife’ – Osinachi Nwachukwu’s Husband

Peter Nwachukwu, the husband of late popular gospel singer, Osinachi on Friday, insisted that he never hit his wife and did not cause her death.

Nwachukwu said the popular gospel singer acclaimed for the hit Christian song, ‘Ekwueme’ died of lung cancer.

While speaking at a High Court in Abuja, the former Dunamis Church volunteer said he never hit his wife before her death.

In his words, “Let me tell the whole world, I have suffered a lot. I have been abandoned. What killed my wife was cancer of the lungs, I didn’t hit my wife.

“Cancer of the lungs killed my wife, Osinachi Nwachukwu, so I’m suffering for what I do not know.”

Nwachukwu was arraigned before the Federal Capital Territory High Court on Friday, June 3

The court has adjourned the trial of the suspect who was arraigned on a 23-count-charge bordering on domestic violence and homicide to the June 16 and 17 trial.

Justice N.K. Nwosu-Iheme, on Friday also ordered that he be remanded at the Kuje Correctional Facility.

Nwachukwu on Friday pleaded not guilty to the charges levelled against him.
