A 65-year-old Nigerian father identified as Rojaiye Balogun has disclosed how “I only slept with my daughter once.”
He was arrested by the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) for allegedly raping the 17-year-old daughter.
The information was disclosed by the Ogun State NSCDC Commandant, Kolawole Taiwo on Thursday.
Taiwo stated that the father was arrested on Wednesday at Imomo-Ijebu, Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area of the state.
He added that Balogun was reported at the Ant-Human Trafficking, Irregular Migration Unit of the command.
The Commandant said that the suspect confessed to the crime but maintained that he slept with the teenage girl only once.
The accused however denied being the biological father of the adolescent adding that he only slept with her when her mother travelled.
In her reaction, the teenage victim maintained that the 65-year-old is her biological father and that he raped her 4 times on different occasions.
The 17-year-old added that the alleged rapist once promised to give her N1,000 to allow him have his way.
According to her, “I refused, but he forced himself on me.”
She revealed that she had reported his escapades to her mother in the past but she insisted it was not possible.
