I met Daniel in 2021 during NYSC.
He was charming, funny, always broke — but full of dreams.
I fell hard.

He told me he came from a struggling family, so I didn’t mind footing most of our bills.
I paid for dates, helped him apply for jobs, even paid for his first passport.
When he proposed in 2023, I was over the moon.
He didn’t have much, so I handled everything — the wedding gown, venue, catering, photography.
I even rented us a two-bedroom apartment in Lekki and got him a used Toyota so he could start Bolt.
Everyone said I was “lucky to find a humble man.”
I thought so too.
But two months after our wedding, he started acting strange.
He would sneak calls in the bathroom, always lock his phone, and claim he was “working night shifts.”
One night, curiosity got the best of me. I followed him after he told me he was going for Bolt runs.
He entered an estate in Ajah, walked into a house… and I waited.
After 2 hours, I knocked on the gate, pretending to be a Bolt delivery.
A little boy opened the gate and said, “Daddy is inside with mummy.”
I froze.
Minutes later, a woman came out — wearing Daniel’s t-shirt — with a toddler on her hip and a baby crawling on the floor behind her.
I said, “I’m looking for Daniel.”
She said, “My husband? He’s sleeping.”
My heart shattered.
Turns out, Daniel is already married with 3 kids.
I was the side chick who financed his “second life.”
I confronted him, and his only response was:
“You helped me because you loved me. I never forced you.”
Now I’m broke, broken, and embarrassed.
His first wife?
She said I’m lucky he didn’t dump me pregnant like he did his ex before her.
Now I’m broke, broken, and embarrassed.
Should I expose him publicly or just move on in silence?
