The Founder and Bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (LFCWW), Bishop David Oyedepo has recalled how he was once castigated and called a devil for teaching prosperity.
He noted that most of those who criticised him have now begun to do the same thing.
The clergyman made the revelation to his congregation during the Sunday service sermon at the Church’s headquaters at Ota in Ogun State.
The topic for the day’s sermon was “Blood of Sprinkling Service.’
Bishop Oyedepo said that some of his critics also wished him dead for doing the right thing. He noted that many were angry that he was preaching prosperity instead of suffering.
The preacher added that a God-ordained leader sees things ahead of others.
According to the respected man of God, “I was a devil teaching prosperity, people were grieved, they wished I died. Now, everybody including the major attackers are now writing on prosperity.
“True leaders see ahead of others, every God-ordained leader is a pacesetter“
Oyedepo recalled how suffering was seen as a sign of holiness and blessing in Nigeria.
He is known to be one of the wealthiest pastors in the world currently. He is also the founder and proprietor of Covenant University, one of Nigeria’s foremost tertiary institutions.
