A young man from Gauraki village in Zaria local government area, Abubakar Aliu who was buried alive by his cousin over an allegation of phone theft has narrated his ordeal.
Aliu said the disagreement started in Abuja where he was accused of stealing his cousin’s phone while they were working together as laborers.
He said the situation escalated when his cousin lured him to Zaria under the pretext of a job opportunity. He said upon arrival, he was ambushed and beaten until he lost consciousness.
Speaking further, Aliu said his attackers then buried him alive in an uncompleted building just a few meters from his family home. He also described how his captors stripped him of his clothing, leaving him only in his shorts, and warned him that they would return to cover his head before leaving him to die.
While narrating the incident, Aliu said “They beat me and tied me up until I lost consciousness before they buried me alive in an uncompleted building few meters away from our family house. They removed all my clothes but my short knicker and told me that they will cover my head too when they come back”.
