The Labour Party federal lawmaker representing Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, Thaddeus Attah, has denied reports that he was sacked by the election tribunal.
Reports earlier emerged that the petition tribunal sitting in Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos State cancelled the House of Representatives election for the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency.
The report claimed that the tribunal sacked the Labour Party candidate, who was declared the winner.
In his reaction however, Attah on his Twitter page said he was not sacked.
According to him, the tribunal ordered a supplementary election in the 32 polling units where election did not hold.“No cause for alarm! I am here to clarify that I was not sacked. The Tribunal has simply ordered a re-run (supplementary election) in the 32 polling units where elections did not hold.“We will continue working for Etiosa.
“I urge constituents to keep calm as we are unshaken. We will get through this together.“Constituency’s progress!
