Former President Ibrahim Babangida, IBB’s son, Mohammed Babangida, escaped a ghastly accident at the Minna-Suleja Highway in Niger State on Monday.
Unfortunately, three soldiers in his convoy lost their lives while one was critically injured.
SaharaReporters say that Mohammed Babangida was travelling to Abuja with his family when his convoy ran into an articulated truck loaded with tomatoes.
The deceased soldiers’ black Prado SUV is said to have had a head-on collision with the articulated which was coming from the opposite direction.
Mr Babangida himself, was in a Honda Space bus with members of his family, right behind the crashed security SUV.
Eyewitnesses told said that, “3 soldiers died while one was left critically injured as the convoy of Mohammed Babangida, the son of the former military Head of State was involved in the accident. He was traveling to Abuja in a Honda Space bus with other members of his family behind the security vehicle.
“No member of the Babangida family was hurt in the accident. The injured soldier is currently receiving treatment at the National Hospital in Abuja.”
