The Iddo terminal of the Nigerian Railway Corporation, Ebutte Metta was gutted by fire on Sunday, 14th February which happens to be valentines day as well.
The incident was confirmed by the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).
LASEMA is not sure if there were human casualties but its men responded to distress calls.
According to the Director General of LASEMA, Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, his men rushed to the scene to curtail the spread of the inferno.
Unfortunately, a warehouse at Iddo was already ignited.
According to him, “While there appears to be no loss of life, the agency is working alongside the Lagos and Federal Fire Services to control the fire and curtail the extensive speed of the flames.
Chief Press Secretary to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu also confirmed the incident on Sunday night in a tweet.
