There are indications that the 21-storey building that collapsed today failed integrity tests as a letter addressed to the owners showed that a corrective contractor gave warnings on the structure.
After issuing the warning, the contractor withdrew his services on the 20th of February, 2020.
By the 5th of June of the same year, the Lagos State Government officials visited the building and sealed it off.
An eyewitness said that the the owner of the building identified as Mr Wale Bob is still trapped inside as the time of this report. Frantic efforts are still on to rescue everyone trapped.
