Grammy award-winning Nigeria musician, Ayo Balogun better known by his stage name as Wizkid has advised old Nigerian politicians to leave power for the younger generation or get ready for him in the 2023 election.

Speaking during an interview with The Guardian, Wizkid said that the “old men” should be in old people’s homes.

He said, “I’m about to go crazy on their asses this election.

“All these old men are going out of power this time. They need to go to an old people’s home and chill out.”

Nigeria is fielding at least 15 presidential candidates in the race to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari at the 2023 election.

However, 4 of the candidates have shown more popularity than others.

They are Bola Tinubu, All Progressives Congress (APC); Atiku Abubakar, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP); Rabiu Kwankwaso, New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and Peter Obi, Labour Party (LP).

Ex-Lagos governor Tinubu, of the ruling APC, is 70 years old. His age is however, mired in controversy as Wikipedia has updated it a number of times in the last 2 years.

The history app however, failed to edit his initial age in some languages. Watchers also wonder why he is only a few years older than his daughter who is said to be about 62 years old.

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Atiku Abubakar, former vice president, is 75.

Kwankwaso, former Kano governor, is 66, and Obi, former Anambra governor, is 61 years old.
