A Labour Party Candidate in Abia State, Anthony Chinasa-Abiola who won a seat in the state House of Assembly, has debunked reports that he is a Yoruba man.
There have been speculations that he is originally Yoruba because of the Abiola attached to his name.

In an interview with TVC, Chinasa said he adopted the name Abiola just to support Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour who is the Labour party candidate in the Lagos state governorship election.
