Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has revealed how she uses the controversy that she is so frequently mired in for her growth.
Speaking at a TED show organised by media personality, Ikenegbu, she said she is “proudly one of the most contoversial persons on earth.”
Tonto said she is not fighting the fact that she is controversial and even considered as such because she is using it to her advantage, further growth and satisfaction.
She said she used to be very sad whenever people said or wrote something bad about her because she knows who she truly is.
Tonto revealed that she contemplated taking her own life by drinking snipper, a deadly rodent and reptile killer that instantly kills humans when ingested by as little as a drop.
She downed a whole vial of the poison but was lucky not to have died. She therefore realised God was giving her a second chance at life.
The actress and singer realised that that she was one of the people that death cannot kill. She told her audience that in spite of the fact that she was told not to mention the name of Jesus in the TED show, she could not but flout the rule because only “JESUS DID IT ! Only Jesus kept me alive”
She then realised that God wanted her alive to realise her dreams, and passion for caring for the over 3,000 children that depend on her for their daily meals and school fees.
Tonto said she came back to life fiercer with her giving and empowerment for the indigent. She was even recognised by the President and given at least 2 federal directorship positions.
Tonto Dikeh was married to business man, Olakunle Churchill but the marriage ended in divorce citing violence and emotional trauma.
She recently got into a romantic relationship with Delta politician, Prince Kpokpogri. That also ended in controversy that is still raging.
She urges everyone going through trying times to stay strong and focused on their dreams, believe in themselves and believe in God. She insists if she did it every other person can do it.
The Nollywood actress disclosed that no one can break her and dares anybody to:
