The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has launched the portal that would facilitate the pre-registration of eligible voters in its Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) drive.
The commission said that the portal is to enable eligible Nigerians register online before completing the process at designated centres.
The statement posted on Sunday on its website said that physical registration centres will become functional with effect from July.

While Nigerians who have not yet registered can access the platform to pre-register, , those who already registered can review their voter registration status from the same portal.
Other things that can be done on the platform include updating personal information and transferring voter registration to another unit.
Registered voters can also request for the replacement of damaged or defaced Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVC)
INEC added that new voters are only required to fill forms on the portal with their biodata and required documents after which they are expected to visit an INEC state or local government office to complete the process.
