A young member of the Living Faith Church World-Wide has made a passionate appeal to the founder to stop investing in massive church auditoriums.
The appeal to Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of the church and Chancellor of the prestigious Covenant University and Faith Academy was made by Chinedu Aya.
He advised that the Bishop should rather use the funds to invest in the youths who are roaming the streets without jobs or food to eat.
According to him, most of the youths continuously pay tithes and offerings at the expense of their own comfort.
Chinedu added that the youths have heard enough prosperity preaching to last another 100,000 years.
He therefor advised the Bishop that instead of another 100,000 capacity church auditorium he plans to build, he should build a “100,000 capacity industry that will employ people so that they can earn on a monthly basis.”
He said that it is no longer time to donate to the church. He reminded Bishop Oyedepo and other church leaders that the Europeans that brought Christianity do not invest in large capacity auditoriums.
He complained that the schools that the Bishop has built are not even within the reach of the common man and appeals that he make the tuitions more affordable.
Chinedu told Bishop Oyedepo that if he does that, he would have met the wishes of youths who organised #EndSARS and those who have donated to his past projects through tithes and offerings..
