IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu Warns Of Plans To Burn Alaba Market

Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has raised an alarm that there are plans to burn down the Alaba International Market, Lagos.

The disclosure comes the same day that the Ladipo Spare Parts Market was razed by fire.

Alaba international market is an electronics market located in OjoLagos State, Nigeria. It is the largest electronics market in Nigeria. Apart from the sales of electronic products, the markets also deals in the repair of home appliances.

The market and its wide range of business activities gives opportunities to electronics and electrical engineers who specialized in the repair of faulty home appliances to transact businesses with dealers electronics

The IPOB leader said during a broadcast on Sunday via Radio Biafra that some persons have perfected plans to burn down the market and place the blame on IPOB’s security arm, the Eastern Security Network (ESN) for the arson.

According to Kanu, “As I said before, they want to attack Alaba International Market in Lagos.”

“They want to attack the market and burn it down. They want to attack. I am warning now, and not tomorrow they will say ESN came to Lagos.

“I want to tell our people in Lagos, to be on the alert to be vigilant because they are coming to burn Alaba Market.”
