Irate Voters Hold NYSC Member Hostage over BVAS (video)

Irate voters have held a youth corper identified as Adeleke E. and one other hostage because her BVAS failed to function.

According to Daily Post, the incident occurred at Oki Street in Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State.

Security operatives were seen going to rescue the corper who is an INEC ad-hoc staff.

The incident happened at Unit 19, Ward 5, Oki 1, off Okere Road in Warri, Delta State.

The NYSC member told Daily Post correspondent they were held hostage by angry voters because the BVAS machine crashed.

Efforts to speak with INEC office in Warri have been fruitless as “they are not picking their call,”he said.

Some voters thereafter stormed the INEC office to protest their inability to exercise their franchise.
