Yahaya Bello, Governor of Kogi State, this evening announced that Nigeria’s former Aviation Minister and PDP chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode has defected to the All Progressives Congress.
Fani-Kayode has been making the rounds of APC governors in the last couple of weeks.
He recently also visited Bello at his residence in Abuja where he met with top members of the APC.
Even if the outcome of the meeting is not yet known, but today’s announcement by the Governor of Kogi State appears to reveal the outcome.
Reactions:
Soon after the announcement by Yahaya Bello, FFK tweeted that he has not left PDP even if he had meetings across party lines in what he described as “a season of political consultation.”
Femi Fani-Kayode also visited President Goodluck Jonathan at his home in Abuja a few days ago.
