Ghanaian actress Rosemond Brown, popularly known as Akuapem Poloo has bagged a jail sentence for posting nude pictures with her son.
The actress posted the pictures on social media showing her stark naked and stooped in front of the young boy on his birthday in 2020.
The Accra Circuit Court convicted Poloo to a 90-day jail term on charges of misdemeanour, domestic violence and publishing obscene content.
Poloo pleaded guilty to the office after which a pregnancy test was carried out on her before the sentence began.
Popular American rapper, Cardi has reacted to the development after a media platform, Afromusik tagged her on Twitter seeking her opinion about the jail sentence.
According to Afromusik@Afromusik_TV· “@iamcardib your twinee in Ghana, Akuapem Poloo has been sentenced to 90 days imprisonment for posting naked photos together with her son on her son’s birthday in June 2020. what is your take on this Cardi????”
In her response, 28-year-old Cardi B said that the sentence was too harsh for the offence. She said that a social media probation or community service would have been more adequate.
The entertainer added that the theme and notion behind Poloo’s nude photos could have come from a natural and not a sexual place.
