S*x therapist and aphrodisiac entrepreneur, Hauwa Saidu better known as Jaruma has been remanded in prison over her post about popular actress, Regina Daniels and her billionaire husband, Ned Nwoko.
The former lawmaker had filed a petition against Jaruma, accusing her of peddling fake news against him and his wife, Regina on her social media platforms.
The s*x therapist was arraigned before an Abuja High Court on charges bordering on defamation of character, false news publication and intimidation.
Police Prosecutor, E A Inegbenoise told the court that Nwoko had written a petition through his lawyer to the FCT command for proper investigation into the matter.
The prosecutor demanded that the court remand the billionaire owner of Jaruma Empire in police custody while investigation is being carried out.
On his part, the defendant’s lawyer, James Odibe prayed the court to grant Jaruma bail on self-recognition or in the alternative, in the most liberal terms.
Presiding Judge, Justice Ismaila Abdulahi ordered that the defendant be remanded in the Suleja Correctional Centre pending the bail hearing on Friday, 28th of February.
The case was also adjourned to the 23rd of February, 2022 for hearing.
