By the 4th of July, Nigeria’s confirmed covid19 cases hit 28,167. This comes with the addition of 603 new cases recorded across 19 states.
Total deaths since the index case was recorded is 634.

So far, 7 of Nigeria’s 36 governors have been infected with covid19 since the breakout of the pandemic in the country. In some cases like Delta State, their families also contracted the deadly disease.
