Armed bandits have attacked the General Hospital, Idon in Kajuru Local Government Area of southern Kaduna State and Kidnapped 2 nurses.
A resident of the community said that the bandits stormed the premises on Thursday night.
The hospital is located less than a kilometre from a police checkpoint along the Kaduna-Kachia road in Idon.
The Chairman of Kajuru Local Government Area, Cafra Caino said the gunmen broke through the hospital fence with deadly weapons and started shooting sporadically within the hospital premises.
He added that 2 nurses, Afiniky Bako and Grace Inkut who were on night duty were abducted by the bandits.
The Chairman also said that plans are to boost security in the hospital and environs to avoid a similar incident in the future.
This comes barely 2 days after gunmen also attacked Greenfield University, a privately owned tertiary institution in along Kaduna-Abuja highway in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Over 20 students and a staff were kidnapped in the incident. The bandits are reported to have demanded an N800 million ransom failing which the captives will all be killed.
