President Muhammadu Buhari has declared Monday, the 24th of May, 2021 as holiday for members of the armed forces in honour of the Late Chief of Army Staff, Ibrahim Attahiru.
The late COAS died at the Kaduna International Airport while going on a national assignment in Zaria.
The President also directed that the national flag flies at half mast in all public buildings and official residences across the country from May the 24th to Wednesday, May 26th.
The directive is contained in a statement by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha.
According to him,

The President has also approved Monday May 24, 2021 as a work-free day for members of the Nigerian Armed Forces. @DefenceInfoNG
The Personal Assistant to the President on New Media, Bashir Ahmed also published the directive.
