Nnamdi Kanu's Lawyers Reveal New Line of Action

JUST IN ! Court Again Denies Nnamdi Kanu Bail

Breaking News !

Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday, once again denied the bail application of the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

The ruling on the bail application, Justice Nyako said for four years, nothing was filed in her court explaining why Kanu left Nigeria.

Speaking further, Nyako said she is open to considering a new application for bail.

She therefore granted a stay of the criminal proceedings and advised Kanu’s legal team to approach the Court of Appeal on the issue of bail.

Last month, the judge also denied Kanu’s bail application. At that sitting, she said that the issue of Kanu’s absence in the past, since 2017, should be determined, before his bail application, will be entertained.

Binta Nyako added that Kanu breached his former bail conditions, and until that is heard, his present bail application is immature.

Since his rearrest in Kenya in June 2021, the 54-year-old separatist leader has been in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja.

Kanu’s lawyer, aloy ejimakor has given an update on today’s sitting via his twitter handle. He said:
