A court sitting in Ekiti has passed judgement on a suit seeking to sack the Governor-elect of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji.
The presiding judge struck out the suit and declared Oyebanji as the duly elected candidate in the primary election under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He also won the gubernatorial election in the recently concluded exercise.
Justice Babs Kuewumi who presided over the case on Thursday ruled that the matter brought before the court was defective and thereafter struck it out.
The suit was filed by another APC chieftain, Kayode Ojo, challenging Oyebanji’s emergence in the party’s governorship primary election.
