The Ikeja Special Offences Court has finally passed judgement on the case of sexual conduct against embattled Nollywood comic actor, Olanrewaju James, better known as Baba Ijesha.
The actor has now been convicted for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old minor.
A comedian, Princess, in 2021, filed a case against Baba Ijesha, accusing him of sexually assaulting a minor in her custody.
In its ruling on Thursday, an Ikeja Special Offences Court said it found the actor guilty of some of the charges against him.
Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo, in a two-hour judgement, convicted Baba Ijesha of indecent treatment of a child, s*xual assault and attempted s*xual assault.
The court judge, however, discharged and acquitted the actor of count one and count six, which were: s*xual assault by penetration and attempted s*xual assault by penetration.
He was sentenced to 16 years imprisonment.
