There tension in the Ozoro community in Isoko North Local Government Area of Delta State as hundreds of women and youths blocked the Ozoro/Kwale/Asaba Expressway.
Reports say the indigenes are protesting against the relocation of the Faculty of Business Administration, Delta State University of Science and Technology, to Orerokpe community, the local government of the current Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori.
The protesters lament that the relocation of the faculty from the institution will greatly affect the economic life of the town.
Bearing different placards with inscriptions, they demanded that the faculty be returned to the institution.
As of the time of filing this report, the youths were seen at the Owhelogbo junction, just as the women danced round the community.
Travellers going to Asaba and Onitsha in Anambra State have been forced to take alternative routes.
The protesters called on Governor Oborevwori, to as a matter of urgency, return the faculty back to the university’s main campus.
