The Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria in charge of Financial Systems Stability – Aisha Ahmad, has been arrested and detained by the Department of State Services (DSS).
She is said to have been arrested over the alleged fraudulent acquisition of shares in Polaris Bank, Titan Bank/Union Bank.
Ahmad is also expected to tell the secret police how the sum of $300 million to complete the acquisition of Union Bank was raised by Titan Bank.
