Less than 24 hours to the commencement of the 2023 election, Nollywood actress and African Democratic Party (ADC) deputy governorship candidate, Tonto Dikeh, has declared support for Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The controversial serial brand ambassador who was nominated as the running mate to ADC governorship candidate, Tonte Ibraye, in Rivers State took to her Instagram page, to solicit support for Peter Obi.
According to Tonto, the 2023 election is important in the history of the country and it is equally pertinent to consider the qualification of each of the candidates.
She called on eligible voters to vote based on competence, experience, and excellent track record.
The mother of one added she would be giving unsolicited support to vote for the former governor of Anambra State in the election.
Tonto Dikeh wrote: “The upcoming presidential election is one of the most important events in our country’s history. It will determine the future of our nation, and the person we choose to lead us will have a significant impact on our lives.
“Therefore, it is imperative that we carefully consider the qualifications of each candidate and choose someone who has the competence, experience, and an excellent track record.
Therefore I hereby, willingly Give my Unsolicited support to vote rightly for Mr Peter obi in the upcoming presidential election slated for 25th February 2023…”
