Reports just in finally reveal the man behind the protracted rift between the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki and his Deputy, Philip Shuaib.
Obaseki unveiled Asue Ighodalo on Tuesday as his anointed successor putting paid to speculations about who would succeed him.
More reports say the governor is currently holding meetings with the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Abuja to firm up plans for the November 2023 governorship election.
63-year-old Asue Ighodalo is a Lagos-based legal practitioner sits on the board of many blue chip companies across the country.
He is also the older brother of Pastor Ituah Ighodalo of Trinity House Church, Lagos.
