The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), today, 16th of October, grilled the former Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwanso.
Reports say that the chieftain of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) turned himself in for interrogation after shunning series of invitations in the past.
It is alleged that his decision to turn himself in would be as a result of fears of being arrested as planned by the EFCC.
Top operatives of the Commission who spoke on conditions of anonymity said that Kwankwanso arrived the headquarters in Abuja before noon on Saturday.
EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren was not available to address newsmen at the time of this report so details of the interrogation are still sketchy.
64-year-old Rabiu Kwankwanso was Governor of Kano State 1999 and 2003 and returned for his 2nd term between 2011 and 2015.
He was the senator representing Kano Central between 2015 and 2019.
