A massive explosion, this morning, 13th of September, rocked the ever busy PZ Roundabout along the Airport Road in Yola, the Adamawa State Capital.
The incident is said to be from a fuel tanker which burst into flames resulting in a huge ball of fire that is still raging.
As at the time of filing this report, it is not clear whether any lives were lost in the inferno.
According to Sahara Reporters, the fuel compartment of the tanker owned by Conoil suddenly detached and fell while the driver was negotiating the roundabout.
Vehicles and shops within 80 metres radius were completely razed by the flames causing losses that are yet to be evaluated.
The fire continues to rage even at this time of reporting.
A combined team of firefighters from the Federal Fire Service, the Airforce and Faro Bottling Company were seen working to put out the fire.
