Reports just in say that fire broke out this Friday afternoon at the Shoprite Shopping Mall located on Park Lane, Apapa.
Shoppers and workers at the complex were seen scampering to safety after the fire started and the flames started spreading wildly.
At the time of this report, nobody has been confirmed injured or killed, but the shoppers were said to have taken to their heels in panic as they saw the fire and billowing smoke.
Eyewitnesses say that two fire trucks are at the mall battling the inferno as at the time of filing this report.
Though, the cause cannot be immediately ascertained but reports from from eyewitnesses at the scene say that the fire was caused by electric power surge.
No staff of the complex management was willing to speak on the accident but details are still being awaited.
