The Governor-elect of Anambra State, Charles Chukwuma Soludo has given former presidential candidate, Oby Ezekwesili a crucial appointment ahead of his assumption of office.
Soludo, who is scheduled to take over from Willie Obiano as Governor in March 2022, appointed the former Minister of Education and former Vice President of World Bank as head of his transition committee.
Soludo also constituted the members of the team to work with Ezekwesili.
The inauguration of the transition committee is scheduled to hold on the 20th of January, at Agulu Lake (Golden Tulip) Hotel in Awka, the Anambra State capital.
Soludo directed Ezekwesili and her team members to develop a transition plan and ensure its implementation for a for a smooth and successful takeover from Governor Willie Obiano
The governor-elect also mandated the committee to ensure that the swearing-in ceremony is well planned and not affected by anything.
A formal announcement on the development is expected within the day.
Chukwuma Soludo, a candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) was declared winner of the November 6, 2021 Anambra Governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC)
Oby Ezekwesili is the co-founder and founding director of Transparency International, co-founder of the #BringBackOurGirls movement
