Former Governor of Oyo State, Chief Rasheed Ladoja has lost his Special Assistant on Traditional Matters, Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja to gunshot wounds.
The incident is reported to have occurred on Tuesday, 24th of November.
Chief Ladoja, who is the current Osi Olubadan was the Governor of Oyo State between 2003 and 2007 under the Peoples Democratic Party.
Daily Post reports that Late Ladoja died in the early hours of Tuesday, 23rd of November of gunshot wounds he sustained during an accidental discharge..
The accident occurred after the installation of Gbadamosi Dauda Olaniyi as Mogaji Abidiodan, Itutaba, Oje, Ibadan.
Reports add that the the deceased has been buried according to Islamic injunctions
Lanre Latinwo, media aide to the former Governor confirmed the death to newsmen on Wednesday.
He said that, “He has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso 1, members of Olubadan-in-Council and some other chiefs have sent their condolences to Osi Olubadan and the entire Ladoja’s family on the death of their loved,” the media aide added.
