Prof Mahmood Yakubu has just been confirmed as the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for a second time.

He was confirmed today, December 1st during plenary by the Senate.

His confirmation is sequel to the confirmation of the Senator Kabiru Gaya (APC – Kano South) led report which recommended Mahmood for confirmation.
