Sadiya Umar Farouq, the former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs is currently at the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The ex-minister is at the anti-graft agency office to answer questions regarding the sum of N37,170,855,753.44 allegedly laundered under her watch by a contractor, James Okwete.
Umar Farouq served under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
On arrival at the EFCC premises, she wrote on social media on Monday morning, “I have, at my behest, arrived at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to honour the invitation by the anti-graft agency to offer clarifications in respect of some issues that the commission is investigating.”
