The funeral rites of activist and spokesperson of the pan-Yoruba socio-political group, Afenifere, Yinka Odumakin began on Thursday, the 22nd of April with the lying-in-state ceremony held at the Police College, Ikeja, Lagos State.
Yinka Odumakin died of complications from the dreaded covid19 on the 3rd of April at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH).
During the lying-in-state today, Thursday at the Police College, tributes were given by eminent Nigerians who lauded his virtues and doggedness for the wellbeing of the downtrodden.

His remains will depart Lagos for his hometown, Moro, in Ife North Local Government Area of Osun State.
A candle light procession will take place at the Origbo Grammar School on Friday from 6:00pm. This will be followed by another lying-in-state at 8:00am on Saturday at Origbo Anglican Grammar School, Moro.
Funeral Service will hold at 10:00am after which the remains will be interred at a private ceremony.
