The presidential candidate on the platform of the Labour party, Peter Obi was prevented from moving out of the arrival wing of the Murtala Mohammed Airport in Lagos.
The former governor of Anambra State arrived Lagos on Thursday morning in continuation of his media rounds.
Apparently, the only leadership hope that Nigeria has at the moment, supporters could not have enough of him as they jostled to throw questions at him.
Many of the questions were around reassurances that he is indeed the Messiah for the many economic, political and social problems ravaging the country.
The presidential hopeful as usual, arrived the airport alone. Many supporters and well-wishes just wanted to sight him and take selfies with him.
Peter Obi, recently paid a visit to Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom shortly after the PDP stalwart returned from his visit to the United States.
A former running mate to Atiku in the 2015 presidential election, Obi also visited Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom at his private residence in Abuja on Wednesday, July 20th, 2022.
Speaking during the visit, Ortom urged presidential candidates of the various political parties for next year’s general election to put Nigeria first above personal interests.
He said Nigerians were in dire need of people with “commitment and competence” that would fix the leadership crisis that has plunged the country into outright chaos.
