There is an ongoing protest in Senegal similar to Nigeria’s EndSARS protest against police brutality.
Youths have thronged the streets of major cities to call for the authorities to free Senegal from the brutality meted on them by police who are supposed to protest them.
#FreeSenegal is currently trending as videos of the actions of the police trend on social media sites.
Youths of all ages are joined by a few elderly, demanding freedom from the police. One protester is seen below, being brutally assaulted by the cops.
One protester hailed Nigerians for lending their voices to the call for freedom in Senegal.

Reports say that internet accesses especially to social media sites within Senegal are being frozen.
In addition, television stations airing the protests are being clamped down on and shut down.
