Reports just in say that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (GCFR) has kept his promise to Nigerian students by signing into law, the student loan bill, which provides for interest-free loans to indigent Nigerian students.
The new law makes provision for indigent Nigerian students in the nation’s educational institutions to access interest-free loans.
During the electioneering campaign in Akure, the Ondo State capital, the President pledged to sign into law, a credit loan facility for students if voted into power.
Tinubu’s former campaign media aide, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed the development via a post on his Twitter profile.
He said, “President Tinubu has kept his promise to Nigerian students by signing into law, the interest-free loan bill to aid indigent Nigerian students.”
