Renowned multinational accounting and audit firm, Deloitte, has revealed that the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Bola Ahmed Tinubu was never its employee.
The revelation comes as a big blow to Tinubu’s employment history as against his claims that he made $1.8 million while working as a consultant with the organisation.
This is also one of many claims in his profile that have been refuted by insiders and people who should have been his colleagues.
In another development, there are controversies surrounding his real name, state of origin and the identifies of his biological parents.

The former Lagos governor in 2016 claimed that serving as an auditor for auditing giant, Deloitte and Touche, made him an “instant millionaire”.
He stated that he made $1.8 million consulting for the multinational audit firm.
However, a recent expose by investigative journalist, David Hundeyin revealed that the former Lagos governor never had an employment history with Deloitte.
Hundeyin subpoenaed Deloitte USA to provide evidence of Tinubu’s employment and staff payment records.
In its response, Deloitte said it had “no employment record of Bola Ahmed Tinubu in our system, and as such have no employment record for them.”
Supporters of the APC presidential candidate believe his claim of having acquired his wealth through his employment with Deloitte and other multinational organisations where he claimed to have worked.
Many discerning watchers are however of the opinion that the presidential candidate acquired his wealth through shady business dealings with some drug cartel.
He has been accused of making a fortune out of politics and alleged tax dealings in Lagos State.
The revelation by Hundeyin has set the internet on fire as opposition political parties are cashing in to sell their principals.
According to David Hundeyin @DavidHundeyin: “Bola Ahmed Tinubu has claimed that he made $1.8 million from salaries and bonuses while working a consultancy job at Deloitte USA. So we subpoenaed Deloitte USA to provide evidence of Tinubu’s employment and staff payment records, and this is what came back…”
