Controversial Nollywood actress and philanthropist, Tonto Dikeh is reported to have been picked as running mate to Tonte Ibraye, the Governorship candidate of the Africa Democratic Congress (ADC) in Rivers State, for the 2023 election.
The actress made the announcement on her Instagram page, an hour ago while also displaying their campaign poster with the hashtag ‘Rivers Rescue Mission 2023’.
Tonto Dikeh expressed appreciation to the Governorship candidate for nominating her and stated that they are looking forward to investing massively in social protection, creating social values for young people and increasing women’s inclusion in the governance system.
She added that they would be supporting small businesses and strengthening the traditional institution to be active players in the drive to bring sustainable development.
She wrote: “I thank Mr. Tonte Ibraye(@tonteibraye), the Governorship Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Rivers State for nominating me as his running mate.”
